We’re always looking for smart ways to make our customers’ lives easier and save them time. That’s because the easier it is to manage your waste and access your data, the better you can understand your waste and recycling and your company’s impact on the planet.
The customer portal is your online account for all things waste and recycling, accessible via desktop and our mobile app. It allows you to manage, track and review your waste arrangement at the touch of a button, helping you keep on top of your waste plans as well as your business sustainability goals.
As an official First Miler, you have exclusive access to the online portal where you can place an order, book and view a collection, review documents including your Waste Transfer Note, pay invoices and keep up to date with your monthly recycling reports. And there’s more…
Below is our handy how-to guide so you can become a portal whizz in no time.
Quick n’ easy ordering
It couldn’t be simpler to place an order, and you can use the portal to order new sacks up until midnight for next working day delivery. Head to the homepage and select ‘Place New Order’ or ‘Repeat Last Order’.
On the left of the homepage, you can view your order history. This shows you the breakdown of all your previous orders from First Mile. You can also see the total sum of each order, the invoice and POD - which is proof of delivery for those in the know… meaning you no longer need to send an email around asking who signed for that delivery!
At the bottom left-hand corner of the homepage, click the ‘Manage Your Documents’ link to access all your waste-related documents. Your Waste Transfer Note, certificates of secure destruction for any confidential waste, consignment notes for your hazardous collections and past invoices - all are available for download here. Need it as a PDF? Click on 'PDF' and ta-da!
Looking for a quick, secure and easy way to pay invoices? No problem. At the top of the homepage, click on the dropdown arrow in the Account section and select ‘Invoicing’. Here, all outstanding invoices appear in red. Tap the shiny green ‘Pay Now’ button and you’re away!
For your internal collection needs such as stationery, textiles and printer & toner cartridge recycling, simply hit ‘Book a Collection’ on the homepage and select your service. Remember that you won’t be able to book Mixed Recycling or General Waste collections online.
At the right-hand side of the homepage is where you can view your next collection. Click on ‘Your Schedule’ to view your entire collection schedule including the day and time that we will collect each recycling or waste stream. You can also request an extra collection slot on this page - easy!
Occasionally things go awry. But don’t worry… the quickest and easiest way of resolving any issues or queries you may have is through (you guessed it) our online customer portal. The ‘Report an issue’ button in the centre of your homepage is the place to go to report missed collections, query payments and inform us of any other issues you may have.
By reviewing your Monthly Recycling Report, you can ensure your environmental performance is ship shape. At the bottom of your homepage, you’ll see your all-important recycling rate. Click ‘Manage Your Data’ to view the dashboard over the past 12 months. You’ll be able to check the total kilograms you’ve recycled, the number of trees and tonnes of CO2 saved, as well as the kWh of energy generated from your general waste and/or food waste recycling.
